2 large onions, sliced thinly
2 c. chicken stock
2 c. beef stock
1/2 tsp. kitchen bouquet
3 T butter
4 slices of sliced baguette (spread with butter, salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, and parmesan cheese) or 4 slices of toasted garlic bread (Jerry's or Byerly's)
4 slices of gruyere cheese (sliced thin) - Byerly's cheese deli
4 T grated gruyere cheese

Slice onione and saute in butter until tender

Add chicken and beef stock and the kitchen bouquet. Simmer 20 minutes

Pour soup into crocks. Place toasted baguette on top. Add a slice of gruyere cheese and place under the broiler until melted. (Place the crocks on a cookie sheet for easy removal from the oven.) Remove from the oven and add grated cheese. Place each crock on a small plate for serving (very hot). Serve and enjoy!!
