For the cookies:
2⅓ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ tsp cinnamon
½ cup butter, soft
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
⅓ cup pure maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp maple extract
1 cup chopped pecans
For the icing:
2 TBSP butter, soft
⅓ cup pure maple syrup
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
pinch of salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk the flour, baking soda and salt together. Set aside.
Using a mixer, cream the butter and brown sugar until smooth, about 2 minutes. Add the egg and combine. Add the maple syrup and extracts. Beat until well combined and smooth. Mix in dry ingredients until combined. Add the pecans until combined. Cover and chill for 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350º. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or cooking spray. Roll cookie dough into balls place on pan. Bake for 12 to 13 minutes. Cool.
Melt the butter and maple syrup, add powdered sugar and salt. Drizzle over cooled cookies. Let set for about 1 hour.
