1 cup butter
1½ cups sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp almond flavoring
2½ cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add flavoring and egg to butter mixture. Mix thoroughly. Sift together flour, soda and cream of tartar and blend in the butter mixture.
Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Divide the dough in 3 parts and roll out each part with very little flour. Cut with a cookie cutter and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375º for 7 to 8 minutes.
Frost if desired.
