1 large can pineapple, drained
2 TBSP butter
1 cup brown sugar
For the cake:
2 cups cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup sugar
½ cup Crisco
2 eggs, separated
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the butter and brown sugar in the pan. Add the pineapple.
For the cake:
Sift together dry ingredients. Add shortening, egg yolks, vanilla and milk. Beat egg whites. Fold into the rest of the batter.
Bake at 375º for 30 to 35 minutes.
