Salt and pepper
Onions (1-2)
Vinegar (1-2 cups)

Bacon -- 10-12 slices

Brown sugar (2-3 tbsp)

Directions:
Directions:
Put salt and pepper on pork chops. Brown them in frying pan. When browned, put in baking pan in oven with sliced onion on top until onions are partially browned. Mix 1 cup vinegar with 3 cups water and add to pork chop pan. Add enough of this type of mixture to fill pan and cover pork chops. Bake 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

Rinse sour kraut. Put in greased casserole pan. Sprinkle with 1-2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Bake for 1-1/2 to 2 hours. (same time as pork chops)

Fry bacon. Remove bacon and cut into small pieces. Cube bread and brown in bacon droppings. Grate potatoes; add salt and pepper. Add cubed bread and mix until bread is crushed and mixed with potatoes. Add flour to help potatoes and bread stick together. Mix in bacon pieces. Add salt as needed.

Fill 1 or two pans with water and bring to a boil. Form dumplings into small balls and add to boiling water. Boil for 20-30 minutes.

When dumplings are finished. Serve with pork chops, vinegar water, and sour kraut. Note: You can make a beef broth gravy to serve with it, if desired.
