1 20oz can pitted frozen tart red cherries thawed
1 3oz pkg Cherry Jello
1 8oz can jellied cranberry sauce
1 3oz pkg lemon jello
1 cup boiling water
1 3 oz cream cheese
1/3 cup sour cream
1 8¼ oz crushed pineapple
1/2 cup Whipping cream
1 cup tiny marshmallows
2 tbs chopped walnut

Directions:
Directions:
Drain cherries serving the syrup and add water to make 1 cup. Bring to boil, remove from heat and add cherry jello, stir to dissolve with fork to break up cranberry sauce. Stir in drained cherries. turn into a 9x12 pan. Chill mixture until almost firm. Dissolve lemon flavored jello in boiling water. Beat cream cheese with sour cream. Gradually add lemon gelatin. Stir in un-drained pineapple. Chill till partially set. Whip cream and fold into lemon mixture with marshmallows. Spread on top of almost set cherry jello. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill until firm.

This is a very traditional salad used at both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Both Della and my Mom used this recipe.
It is very good. Not sure why we have stopped using Jello.
