5 lb potatos
4 T butter
1 medium sweet onion (Optional)
Garlic - quality spice or fresh
4 T arrow root powder
6 C Bone Broth, chicken or turkey broth, or vegetable broth
3 C Milk
1 ½ C Heavy Cream
salt, pepper
Instant Potato (For thickening)

Optional Toppings: Bacon, Green Onion, Sour Cream , Shredded cheese, Ham

clean potato skins and boil with skins on. Cool, then peel and cube. Get most of the peel off but you can leave some on.

Put cubed potatoes in crock pot then add all liquid ingredients. Reserve 1 cup of broth and mix with arrow root powder, Garlic powder, salt and pepper. Once mixed well, return to the crock pot.

If you are adding the onion, chop finely and sautéed in butter before adding to the crock pot.

Let the soup cook on high until it gets hot. Add instant potatoes ¾ cup at a time to thicken. Wait about 5 minutes to see if you need to add more.

Once it is done - serve with optional toppings as desired.
