2 T. butter
2 T. flour
1 c. milk
1 ½ c. shredded cheese
¼ tsp. garlic
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1 – In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
2 – Add the flour to the melted butter and whisk continuously about 1 – 2 minutes to create a roux.
3 – Gradually pour in the milk while whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
4 – Cook the mixture, stirring continuously until it starts to thicken, about 3 – 5 minutes.
5 – Reduce the heat to low and add the shredded cheese to the sauce a little at a time, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
6 – Add the garlic, salt, and pepper.
7 – Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency.
