1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 c. flour
¼ c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1 c. milk
1 egg
1 quart oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
1 – Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl – stir in the milk and egg to make a batter.
2 – Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees.
3 – Meanwhile pat weenees dry and insert a skewer in to each one.
4 – Roll weenees in the batter until well coated.
5 – Fry 2 or 3 corn dogs at a time in preheated oil until lightly browned about 3 minutes – drain on paper towels.
