3 cups all purpose Flour
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup unsalted Butter
1 Egg
½ teaspoon Almond extract
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Cream butter (that has been removed from the refrigerator 15 minutes), with sugar for at least 3 minutes. In a separate bowl combine flour, salt and baking powder. Add the flavorings and egg to the sugar and butter mixture. Beat until well mixed. Gradually add flour mixture, a little at a time, to the butter sugar mixture. Mix together until dough leaves the sides of the mixing bowl. Using wet hands remove from bowl and place on floured board. Cut into 3 sections.. Roll one section at a time the dough to ¼ inch thick. Using cookie cutters, cut into designs of choice. Bake 6-8 minutes and remove the cookies from the oven immediately, the cookies will continue to bake on the cookie sheet. Decorate as desired or leave plain. Cookie dough does not need to be refrigerated before rolling out. Cookie dough can be placed in a freezer to use at another time.
