1 or more swamp cabbage
Ice water
Lemon Juice
Bacon - Save bacon grease
Two sticks of butter
Everglades Seasoning


For Variations ( if desired ):
Canned Milk
Smoked Sausage cut in round
Tiny new potatoes - cooked separately
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
When you "dress" your cabbage, always cut it in ice water with lemon juice added to keep it from turning a dark color.
Fry bacon until very crisp. Drain and set aside.
Add two sticks of butter to the bacon grease. Place one a medium heat and start adding the cabbage, stirring often.
You may have to add a little water. Keep tasting to get it to the doneness you like, from
crunchy to soft.
Season with Everglades. Stir in bacon, crumbled, just before serving.

Variations:
Add canned milk and stir in.
Add smoked sausage cut in rounds.
Add tiny new potatoes cooked separately and stirred in before serving.
Add parmesan cheese.
