1/2 cup chocolate wafers, crushed
1 tablespoon butter, softened

Lightly butter the bottom and sides of spring form pan. Pat in the cookie crumbs.
 

Filling

3 8-ounce packages of cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
5 eggs
2 squares semi-sweet chocolate

In a large bowl, blend cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs one at a time and beat after each.

Reserve 1 cup of batter. Fold melted chocolate squares into reserved 1 cup of batter.

Pour plain batter into prepared pan. Spread chocolate batter on top and swirl with a knife, cutting through the plain batter.

Bake at 300 degrees for 50 - 55 minutes or until just set.
 

Frosting

1 6-ounce package semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 cup sour cream
dash of salt

Melt chocolate pieces in double boiler. Add sour cream and salt. Beat until creamy and easy to spread.

Spread on cooled cake. Chill 4 hours.
