1/2 pound ground chuck
3/4 cup chopped onion
10 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup BBQ sauce (tested with KC Masterpiece Original BBQ Sauce)
1 (15 oz) can pork and beans, undrained
1 (15 oz) can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 oz) can butter beans, rinsed and drained
2 Tablespoons molasses
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Optional:
3 Tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup beef broth
2 Tablespoons tomato bouillon

Directions:
Cook ground couch and onion in a Dutch oven, stirring until meat crumbles and is no longer pink. Drain and return to pan. Stir in bacon and remaining 10 ingredients. Spoon bean mixture into a lightly greased 2 1/2 quart baking dish. Chill 8 hours, if desired. Bake, covered at 350º for 1 hour, stirring once.
