1 lb beef stew meat
1 - 2 lbs soup bone/ox tails
6 cups water
2 cups tomato juice
⅓ cup onion
1 tbsp salt
2 tsp worcesteshire
¼ tsp chili powder
2 bay leaves
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups sliced carrots
1 cup diced potatoes

1. Brown meat & soup bones in a little oil in stockpot
2. Add juice, water & spices, cover and simmer for 2 hours
3. Remove bones, cut meat into bite size pieces and add back in to pot along with veges, cook for another hour

4. If adding dumplings, turn temp. of soup up to medium, prepare dumplings and drop them by teaspoon into soup, cook uncovered for 10 min.
