Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Fresh venison steaks or chops from ,y sons or grandsons
Flour
Salt and pepper
Bacon grease or butter to coat the pan

Directions:
Directions:
Rub flour, salt and pepper into the meat. Sometimes I add some garlic salt too. Have an iron skillet hot so that the butter sizzles. . .enough butter or grease to cover the bottom of the pan. Keep skillet medium hot until you fry the meat just until medium or rare. We “natives” like our meat wild and rare!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I love when my grandsons bring me first the heart and then the butchered meat from their Dippy Dell or Blooming Grove hunting expeditions after Thanksgiving! I cook the heart just the way I do the steaks or chops.
