Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of Hersey’s Cocoa powder
2 cups of milk
Dash of maple syrup (optional)
2 cups of milk
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Dash of salt
2 tablespoons of butter

Directions:
Directions:
Put all ingredients except the butter and vanilla in a heavy bottomed saucepan. Cook over low heat ( a slow boil) until mixture thickens. Stir while cooking with a wooden spoon. You don’t cook the sauce until the soft ball stage like fudge candy but just before that( until some drops from a spoon in cold water start to form a ball but too soft to pick up). Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla. Serve over either warm or cold over home made vanilla ice cream.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I personally don’t measure anymore when I make the sauce but always be sure to have twice the milk as sugar. Chocolate can change depending on how dark you want it. Add some peanut butter at the end with the butter and vanilla for peanut butter fudge sauce!
