1-1/2 c. soft pitted prunes, chopped
1/2 stick (1/4 c.) butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 box yellow cake mix for single layer cake (Jiffy, etc.)

Directions:
In 8 or 9-inch cake pan, melt butter over low heat. Sprinkle melted butter with brown sugar, covering bottom evenly. Distribute prunes over sugar mixture. Prepare cake mix according to package directions and pour over prunes. Bake per package directions. When cake is done, cool for 2 minutes and cover cake pan with large plate. Invert cake and allow a few minutes for sugar-butter mixture to release from pan.
