1 Cup granulated sugar
1 Cup salted butter
1/4 Cup corn syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 Cup walnuts or pecans
2 Cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat 350 Degree --
Spread nuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the
8-10 minutes.
2. Heat sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt in a saucepan over medium high heat.
3. Stir Continuously- the mixture will start to golden. We want to get it to a
medium-brown shade. If using a candy thermometer, it should reach 290-300
degree.
4. 290-300 degrees , remove from heat carefully add vanilla. Stir to combine.
5. Pour the mixture over the toasted nuts directly onto parchment baking sheet.
6. While toffee is cooling, chocolate chips on top and let melt for a few minutes before
using a spatula to gently spread it.
7. Let cool for at least 1 hour at room temperature, or in the refrigerator hardened.
8. Once hardened, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
