Ingredients:
Ingredients:
• 2 lbs. dried pinto beans
• Package of thick sliced bacon, chopped
• 1 onion, chopped
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 2 TBSP chili powder
• 1 TBSP oregano
• 1 TBSP garlic powder
• 8 cups chicken broth (I make it using water and chicken bouillon cubes or powder)
• Ό - ½ cup tomato paste (or more, if you use tomato sauce)

Directions:
Directions:
Power boil beans first – pick them, rinse them, and put them in a pot full of water and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, put the lid on the pot, and turn the heat off. Soak the beans for 1 hour. Drain and rinse again. Put them in a Crock-Pot and cover them with chicken broth (about 8 cups for 2 lbs. beans.) May need to add extra broth or water as they’re cooking. Add other ingredients and cook on high for about 6 hours or at least 8 hours on low (preferred).
