6 eggs
2 cups of milk or cream
5 slices of bread, cubed
1 1/4 cups of cheddar cheese ( Gruyère or Stilton would be good too!)shredded
1 teaspoon salt l1pound bulk sausage, browned and drained
1 teaspoon of dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Crumble, brown and drain sausage. Mix eggs, milk ,mustard and salt. Add cubed bread, cheese, sausage and stir together. Pour into a 9x 13” baking dish and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes in a larger pan of water(Millie Detrick does this and it keeps the casserole moist and light)

Makes a great brunch dish that can be prepared the day before ! When Teddy Mitchell was still in business his was the go to sausage to buy!
