Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 cups of sugar
1 cup of milk
1 cup of peanut butter
1/2 stick of butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Just like chocolate fudge you will need a heavy bottomed pan and wooden spoon to make this fudge. Mix the sugar and milk on medium heat stirring with your wooden spoon to boiling. The fudge must come to 234º on a candy thermometer or the soft ball stage if testing drips from spoon in ice water. At this stage remove from heat, stir in butter, peanut butter and vanilla. Have a buttered 8”x8” fudge pan ready to pour the fudge. Stir the fudge until it starts to thicken and then empty into the butter pan and let sit until hardened enough to cut into squares to serve.

This was Aunt Bet Dunbar’s favorite fudge!
