"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
3 ounces of cream cheese
1 egg yolk
2 1/2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of grated orange peel
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and cream cheese. Add sugar gradually. Beat in egg yolk and other ingredients. Refrigerate dough for awhile. Use a cookie press and spoon a portion of the refrigerated dough into the cookie press. Press directly onto ungreased cookie sheet. See your cookie press instructions how to use and change cookie designs. I usually use the Christmas tree, wreath and snowflake designs. Decorate with colored sugar and I also use the red cinnamon candy on the tree top and wreath. Bake at 350º for 5 minutes and then change racks( top to bottom and bottom to top) for another 5 minutes. So you are baking the cookies a total of 10 minutes.
