¾ cups Quick Cooking Oats, uncooked
¼ cup Bran
½ cup Plain Flour
½ cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
½ teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt

⅓ cup Shortening
⅓ cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1 Egg
1 cup Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix first 7 ingredients together. Set aside.
Cream shortening and brown sugar.
Add egg and beat until blended.
Combine dry ingredients with egg mixture.
Mix above alternating adding buttermilk.
Stir until moistened.
Spoon into a coated muffin pan.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
