White Chocolate Bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients: Stale French Bread, cut in ½ slices 3 cups heavy whipping cream ⅔ cup milk ⅔ cup sugar 2 cups chopped white chocolate 2 large eggs 8 large egg yolks
White Chocolate Sauce: 1 cup heavy whipping cream 1 cup chopped white chocolate

Directions: |
Directions:Preheat oven to 375º. Lightly spray the bottom of a 8 inch square baking dish and place a layer of sliced bread. In a saucepan scald the cream with the milk. Add the sugar and the white chocolate. Remove from heat and stir until smooth. In a large bowl beat the eggs with the yolks. Gradually whisk in the white chocolate mixture until blended. Pour half the mixture over the bread slices until well absorbed. Cover with another layer of sliced bread slices and pour the rest of the white chocolate egg mixture on top making sure each slice is thoroughly soaked. Cover the dish with foil and bake 45 to 60 minutes, or until the center puffs up . Uncover and bake another 5 minutes. Let cool until set, about 15 minutes. Scoop the bread pudding with an ice cream scoop into dessert bowls or cut into squares. Top with White Chocolate Sauce.
White chocolate Sauce: Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Whisk in heavy whipping cream until smooth. Serve warm over bread pudding. |
