Bran Muffins Recipe

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
1 c. hot water
2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 t. salt
2 1/2 t. soda
3 c. Bran Buds
Optional: raisins, nuts, dates, 2 grated apples

Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs and beat. Add buttermilk and hot water. Combine dry ingredients and add. Stir in any optional ingrediants you choose and Bake at 375 15-20 min.
This reciept will keep in a covered bowl in the refrigerator for 1 week, bake as needed.
