One good cut roast--Mama used rump roast usually. Lots of garlic, salt and pepper

Cut 5 or 6 cloves of garlic into slices and insert into slits in the roast. Salt and pepper heavily and cook about 15-20 minutes per pound at 350 degrees --depends on if you like it pink or well-done.To make gravy, stir about 2 heaping tablespoons of all purpose flour into about 1/4 cup of salt and peppered water and mix with drippings from roast--stir over med. heat until it is as thick as you want it. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
