Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 pound of ground beef
1/2 white onion diced
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 24 oz jar of your favorite marinara(spaghetti) sauce.
1 box of angel hair pasta or your favorite pasta

** You can also make this into a spaghetti casserole. Just layer part of your pasta into a 9X12 inch pyrex dish, next add a layer of the marinara sauce, another layer of pasta, marinara and top with cheese. Cook in oven at 350º until heated throughout and the cheese is melted on top, approximately 30 minutes.

Directions:
Directions:
1. Brown hamburger meat in a skillet on about medium heat. Once the meat is brown, drain the meat in a colander.

2.While your meat is draining, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to your skillet and add your diced onions. Cook onions until translucent or tender. Do not overcook the onions because they will continue to cook in your sauces.

3.Add the drained ground beef back to the skillet with your onion.

4. Add your marinara sauce and let simmer 30-45 minutes.

5. Cook your angel hair pasta as directed on the back of the box. I usually begin with
half the box. But the whole box will work out okay to use for leftovers later.

**You can certainly make your own marinara sauce and this is easy to do, but more time consuming. I will include that recipe if you want to do a complete homemade version of this recipe.

Personal Notes:
Marinara or Spaghetti Sauce: I use Ragu, Prego or sometimes just whatever is on sale. If I am watching my carb intake, I use Rao. It is very good, but more expensive, but it only has about 5 grams of carbs per 1/2 cup of sauce.

**If you prefer to cook sauce from scratch, use the following ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes

1 (28 ounce) can tomato paste

2 ½ tablespoons dried oregano

2 ½ tablespoons dried parsley

¼ cup grated Romano cheese

⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 bay leaves

1 teaspoon onion powder

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute garlic until aromatic and tender. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, parsley, Romano cheese, Parmesan cheese, bay leaves and onion powder. Reduce heat to low and simmer for at least 40 minutes.
