1 c. shortening
3 oz cream cheese
1 egg
1 c. sugar
1 tsp almond extract
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp baking soda
2½ c flour
maraschino cherries
Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening, add egg and beat well. Add cream cheese. Add dry ingredients, then almond extract.
Shape into balls, roll in finely chopped nuts
Place ½ cherry in each center of ball.
Bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes
