Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
1/2 cup molasses
1 large egg
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup pecans, finely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with a silicone pad or parchment paper and set that aside.
2. Next, in a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and molasses until well blended.
3. Add the egg and mix well on low speed.
4. Next, add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, salt, and milk. Once again, on low speed, beat those ingredients into the butter and molasses mixture. Don’t over-mix – just until the white of the flour disappears.
5. Finally, use a spatula to fold in the chopped pecans.
6. Using a small cookie scoop, portion the cookie dough and position the mounds onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving at least a 2-inch space between each cookie.
7. Bake the cookies for 15 minutes.
8. Once you remove the cookies from the oven, allow them to cool for two minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to continue cooling.
