Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 kg of sugar
1 can condensed milk
250 ml whole milk
55g butter (Emma says she uses way more and I'm not sure how much more)
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Place all ingredients apart from vanilla in a large, nonstick saucepan and boil on the highest heat until it reaches 119 degrees C. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Once at temperature, take off heat and add vanilla. For best results use an electric whisk or beat until it thickens (at least 5 minutes). Pour into 20 cm square cake tin. Cut into squares.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Emma is the wife of the new branch president in Perth, Scotland. She made Ben and me a big basket full of Scottish goodies and this candy was in there. It is the best I have had. Momma Kat.
