2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 c. flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
Juice of 1 lemon
5 c. apples, diced
1 c. walnuts

Frosting:
3 oz. cream cheese
2 oz. oleo (1/2 stick, softened)
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Grease and flour a 9x13 pan. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, beat; add flour and spices. Add apples, lemon juice, and nuts. Bake at 350.
Frost cake when cool.
