2 pkgs yeast
1/3 cup warm water
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 tsps salt
1 cup milk, scalded
2 eggs
4 1/2 to 5 cups all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Soften yeast in warm water. In large bowl combine sugar, butter, salt and milk. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in eggs and yeast. Gradually add flour to form a stiff dough.

Knead on floured surface until smooth and satiny about 5 minutes. Place in bowl, cover and let rise in warm place until doubled about 1 hour, punch down. Cover and let rise again until light and doubled in volume about 1 hour.

Shape dough into balls about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Brush sides with melted butter. Place close together in 2 greased 8 or 9 inch round or square pans. Cover and let rise again until doubled 30 to 45 minutes.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes in preheated 400 degree oven

This is our favorite roll recipe. Mom made these for bake sales at Roy Allen Elementary School. They were always in high demand.
