½ pkg. Shell macaroni (1 C uncooked)
2 ½ lbs. ground beef
3 medium onions, chopped
1 medium pepper, chopped
½ stick butter
32 oz. tomato sauce
1 large can whole kernel corn
8 oz. Sliced mushrooms
3 tiny garlic buds
1 T brown sugar
1 T Worcestershire sauce
2 T chili powder
1 t oregano
2 t salt
¼ t pepper
1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese

Directions:

Cook macaroni. Drain and set aside. Sauté garlic, onion, and bell pepper in butter. Add beef and brown. Add all other ingredients except cheese. Cook 45 minutes over medium heat. Layer macaroni, beef mixture alternately and top with grated cheese. Bake 45 minutes @ 350º. Freezes well.
