1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tsp. parsley
1 tsp. fresh thyme (or 2 tsp fresh parsley)
1 clove garlic, minced or 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp lemon zest
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
kosher salt & pepper to taste (be generous)

Directions:

1. Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix with a hand mixer until smooth

2. Spread onto a piece of plastic wrap and roll into a small log, typing the ends of the wrap

3. Keep in the refrigerator until hard

I just used a scoop and added a scoop of the butter right out of the bowl to the steaks.

Fresh garlic is a great addition, but garlic powder or roasted garlic gives a more subtle flavor.

Use of a hand mixer adds air to the butter so it melts well.

This butter can be made 1 week ahead of time and kep in the refrigerator or frozen in coins.

Use steak butter on meats or vegetables of all kinds.
