6-8 green peppers
1/2 cup uncooked rice ( or more)
1 # hamburg
3 T. butter
1 onion - chopped
1 green pepper - chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Oregano and Basil - to taste
Shredded cheddar cheese
Tomato sauce -Classico, Ragu

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cut the peppers length wise and remove the stem and seeds.
2. Place cut peppers in a large pan of water. Bring to a boil and cook until al dente.
3. In a large skillet, melt the butter and add the onion and pepper and cook until soft.
4. Add hamburg and cook until beef is brown. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Draining fat.
6. Add rice and sauce and simmer for 5-10 minutes. If the mixture is too thick, add more sauce.
7. Line a 9X7 pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
8. Place peppers in pan ( cut side up) and fill with hamburg filling.
9. Preheat oven to 350 degrees..
10. Bake covered for 20-30 minutes. Add cheese and bake another 5-10 minutes or until cheese has melted

If you made more filling than you need, you can freeze it. It then becomes Spanish Rice. Enjoy
