4 squares unsweetened chocolate
⅔ cup Wesson oil or shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1½ cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon double action baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup broken nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350º. Melt Beat in sugar with oil over hot water as in use of a double boiler. Beat in sugar. Off heat beat in eggs. Sift in flour, salt and baking powder. Stir in nuts. Spread in well greased 9x13 inch pan. .Bake 30-35 minutes or until a slight imprint will be left when top is touched lightly. (optional -Chocolate frosting: Melt 2 Tablespoon of Butter and 2 square unsweetened chocolate when melted. Add 3 Tablespoons warm water and beat in 2 cup confectioners sugar. Spread over brownies.
