"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 pieces Bread I used wheat multigrain bread
6 slices tomato. I used Campari tomatoes.
1 Tbsp Mayo Use mustard or Pesto instead
2 Tbsp Shredded Mozzarella
2 slices Provolone cheese Use any cheese
˝ tsp Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp Seasoning I used Italian seasoning

Slice tomatoes into thin pieces and season lightly with salt & pepper. Meanwhile, place slices of bread on cutting board and spread a thin layer of mayo (you can use mustard or pesto instead), and add layer of mozzarella cheese on top, followed by another layer of cheese.I chose a slice of Provolone. After that, add tomatoes on top of cheese, sprinkle some basil or Italian seasoning, and place sandwich into preheated air fryer.
Set air fryer to 375°; cook sandwich for about five-six min, until cheese is bubbly, bread is crispy and tomatoes are gorgeously caramelized & softened. You do not need to flip this sandwich halfway through.
If you like bread toasty, you can spread butter on outside of bread before placing in air fryer. The result is delicious & healthy sandwich that is ready in under ten min!

Air fryer tomato melt is a versatile dish that can be customized to suit your tastes. Add different types of cheese, vegetables, or meat to recipe to create a unique flavor.
Please feel free to switch bread to a different type. My favorite is rye, Sourdough & wheat. If you’re making grilled cheese using white bread, I suggest checking on sandwich a few times during cooking, because white bread has tendency to brown & burn quicker than wheat.
Instead of mayo, you can spread Pesto or Dijon mustard on top of your bread.
