1/2 cup butter
1/5 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1 cup applesauce
2/3 cup butterscotch pieces

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add applesauce alternately with dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Fold in butterscotch pieces. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350º or until tests done....

I got this recipe from a cookbook bought at the Alta Pass Apple Orchard. My brother Skip broiled a slice with good result. I think I might add some chopped pecans next time. This is easy to make!
