Ingredients: 4 nice pork chops at least 1 inch thick Salt and pepper 1 tbsp. salted butter / and oil 1/2 cup white onion, chopped Fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 tsp. minced garlic 3/4 cup milk 1 can cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken and golden cream of mushroom soup Parsley

Directions:Preheat your oven to 350 °F. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Melt the butter and oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and mushrooms. Fry until they are tender and translucent. Add in the garlic and fry for 1 minute. Push the onions and mushrooms to the side and sauté the pork chops in the butter for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned. Combine the milk and soup until smooth and pour the soup mixture over the chops. Bake at 350º uncovered for 25-30 minutes until the pork is bubbly and reaches 145 °F in the middle. |

Notes: Mom's pork chops with cream of mushroom soup were fork-tender and such a comfort on those cold days! The gravy is great on the pork chops, mashed potatoes or buttered egg noodles!
