Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1lb ground beef
1 med onion
1 green pepper
1 28oz can diced tomatoes. (I like the petite diced)
Optional addition. 15oz can crushed tomatoes if you like it more saucy.
1/2 box of macaroni
Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Start the macaroni boiling. Cook until al dente. It will cook more in the sauce. Can be cooked earlier and added later to warm up in the sauce.

While macaroni is cooking,
Brown the ground beef. Add the onion. Cook until translucent. Add the garlic for a minute or two until fragrant.
Add the diced tomatoes. Can use fresh, but Pearl never had time to garden!
Add the crushed tomatoes if you opt to use them.
Salt and Pepper to taste.
Heat to a low boil, then simmer for as long as you want.
Add the macaroni and serve within 5 minutes or so. The pasta will continue to cook.
Enjoy with some buttered bread.
Leftovers are even better!

Another recipe that originated from Uncle Jumbo. Mom/Pearl did a great job with this one.
