2 gallons cukes cut in circles(cut before soak)
1 gallon of boiling water
1 pint salt
1 Tbsp. alum
2 quarts vinegar
4 quarts sugar
1 handful mixed pickling spices.

Directions:
Directions:
Boil 1 gallon of water and salt and pour over the pickles. Let stand 1 week.
Drain and cover with clean boiling water, let stand for 24 hours.
Drain and cover with fresh boiling water with 1 tablespoon of alum for 24 hours. Drain and cover with brine. The brine consists of 2 quarts of vinegar, 4 quarts of sugar and 1 handful mixed pickling spices-Boil
Pour over cukes hot 3 mornings. On 4th morning boil and can.
