Makes 1 1/2 pound loaf:
1 c. milk
1 1/2 t. vanilla
1 egg
1 T. butter
3 c. bread flour
3 T. brown sugar
4 t. unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 t. salt
1 t. active dry yeat or bread machine yeast
2/3 c. semisweet chocolate pieces

Add ingredients to bread machine according to manufacturer's directions.
For Mexican Double Chocolate Bread:
Add 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.

I tried this bread as a sample at Marshall Fields, and it was so delicious I got the recipe. They baked it in a bread machine.
