1/2 C shortening
1/2 C brown sugar
1 C sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp grated orange peel
2 C sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 C evaporated milk
2 C finely chopped apples

Topping:
1 C pecans, chopped
2 Tbs sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Spray 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray.

In large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. In separate bowl, combine shortening, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, and evaporated milk. Slowly add in dry ingredients.

Pour apples into bottom of baking dish and pour batter over apples. Top with sugar and nuts.

Bake 30-35 minutes.
