Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 c sliced peaches mixed with ½ c sugar
or 1 large can peaches

1 cube butter

1 c sugar
1 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 c milk

Directions:
Directions:
If using fresh or frozen peaches, prepare them and let them sit a while. If using canned peaches, drain them, but add back ⅓ c of the juice (use remaining juice for something else.)

Preheat oven to 350º. Melt the butter.

Mix remaining ingredients together to make a thin batter. Pour melted butter into a 2 qt. baking dish (a 9 x 9 inch square pan works well). Pour the batter over the warm melted butter. Scatter the peaches over the batter along with any juice.

Bake in preheated oven about 1 hour or till top is browned and firm to the touch. If it's getting too brown, loosely place a piece of foil over the top.

Serve warm with or without ice cream.
