6 pkgs. of jello: 3 flavors; 2 pkgs. of each flavor
3 pints sherbet (3 flavors)

Directions:
Mix 2 pkgs of one flavor with 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Stir well and add 1 pint sherbet. Mix well and and pour into a six cup jello mold 2 cups of the jello.
Mix the 2nd flavor of jello (2 pkgs.) and repeat as above. Cool, but do not set. Add 2 cups of the mixture on top of the partially set jello above. Repeat the next 2 pkgs. of jello (3rd flaor) and repeat as above.
Yellow, orange and green (lemon, orange and lime sherbet) are very pretty for Easter, using the same flavors of sherbet as jello for each layer.
For Christmas use red, green and deeper red, using raspberry, lime and maybe repeat raspberry sherbet again to go with the deep red jello.
