5 lb. Yukon Gold (or Russet) potatoes2 sticks butter softened, plus more for pan
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 c. heavy cream
1 tsp. seasoned salt (Lowrey's) (more to taste)
½ tsp. kosher salt (more to taste)
1 tsp. black pepper

Peal/cut taters into chunks

Bring a large pot of water to a simmer and add the potatoes. Bring to a boil and cook until fork tender, 20-25 min.

Drain the potatoes in a large colander. Put them back into the pot and put the pot on the stove. Mash the potatoes over low heat, allowing all of the steam to escape before adding the other ingredients.

Preheat the oven to 350º.

Generously butter a 4 quart baking dish.

Turn off heat and add 1-½ sticks of butter, the cream cheese, seasoned salt, kosher salt and pepper. Mash to combine.

Spread the potatoes in the baking dish. Distribute the remaining ½ stick of butter over the top. Bake until the butter is melted and the potatoes are warmed through, 20-30 minutes.
