8 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla, for pure white frosting- use clear vanilla extract
⅓ cup milk (pareve milk- soy dream, almond milk)
pinch of salt, optional -if you want to cut the sweetness

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the softened margarine until smooth.
Blend in the vanilla.
Add half of the powdered sugar and most of the milk.
Beat at medium speed until the powdered sugar is incorporated.
Add remaining powdered sugar and milk and mix at medium speed another 3-4 minutes, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.
Slow down the mixer for 1-2 minutes. This helps eliminate air pockets from the buttercream. The texture will become very smooth.
This recipe can be doubled or halved.
Can be frozen in air tight container for at least 3 months. Thaw on countertop.
Yields approximately 6 cups of frosting.
