"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 tbsp instant yeast
8 cups white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
3 3/4 cup hot water
6 tbsp margarine
6 tbsp sugar
3 tsp salt
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
To mixer bowl, add yeast, sugar, whole wheat flour, 1 cup white flour, and water. Mix well. Add egg, another 2 cups flour, margarine, and salt. Beat on high for about 5 minutes. Continue to beat, and add flour, until no longer sticky. I like to put my oven on the “keep warm” setting till my dough is ready to rise. Grease bowl, add dough, grease top, and cover. Turn oven off, and place bowl inside. If it’s a plastic bowl you may want to put a potholder underneath. (Just don’t forget it in there later!) Punch down every 10-15 minutes for 1 hour. Shape into 4 loaves and let rise about 20 minutes. Bake at 400 for about 30 minutes.
