1 c shortening
2 c sugar
4 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 c all purpose flour sifted
1/4 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
1 c milk
4 stiffly beaten egg whites
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 3 9 inch layer cake pans. Dust the pans with flour. Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg yolks and vanilla. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add alternately with milk. Folkd in beaten egg whites. Bake for 30 minutes.
