Melt 1 c butter
Stir in:
1 c sugar
2 tbsp lemon rind
2 tbsp grated orange rind
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
2 egg yolks (reserve white)
1 tsp baking powder
Blend in:
3 to 3 1/2 cups of sifted all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Shape into balls, using a teaspoon for each Dip in slightly beaten egg whites and then into 2 c of chopped pecans.
Place on greased cookie sheets, flatten slightly. Top each with a piece of candied cherry.
Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes
